Throughout history, humans have wondered about communication with the deceased. This compilation documents eight cases from D. Scott Rogo and Raymond Bayless's 1979 research into "phantom phone calls" - mysterious telephone communications seemingly from beyond the grave. From a grieving mother hearing her deceased son say "Mom?" to an attorney receiving a call about a passing before it occurred, these cases suggest the boundary between worlds may be more permeable than we believe. Whether representing genuine contact or psychic phenomena, these documented incidents with multiple witnesses or verification challenge our understanding of mortality, with telephones sometimes serving as unexpected conduits for messages from beyond.
