For those interested in Gobekli Tepe and the Pre-Pottery Neolithic, there’s some exciting news coming out of Turkey, as 12,000-Year-Old rock engravings have been discovered – and they’re underwater.
The engravings are believed to date to the Epipalaeolithic period, meaning the culture that created them came before the Pre-Pottery Neolithic culture we’ve come to know so well, aka the people behind the enigmatic Gobekli Tepe, Karahan Tepe, Sayburc and so on.
Watch this video to learn all about this brand new discovery, as well as the importance of the etchings in the history of SE Turkey.
