Michel Nostradamus, the 16th-century oracle, is believed to have foreseen many of the following centuries' events and famous characters.

According to legend, his gift of prophecy was hereditary and developed by years of training and practice.

Available documents written by him show predictions that could apply to the rise of the German Fuhrer himself, who was born 323 years after Nostradamus' death.

According to his French texts, known as a quatrain [QUOTE]:

"From the depths of Western Europe, will be born of poor folks, a young child, who by his tongue, will seduce a great many people. His fame will spread even to the Orient.

He will come in villainous, wicker, oppressing Mesopotamia, all made friends with the adulterine dame, and the earth, a horrible black in countenance.

The stain of murder and enormous adulteries, the great enemy of all the human race, who will be worse than his grandsires, uncles or fathers, in sword, and fire, bloody and in human.

A new sect of philosophers, scorning death, gold, honors, and riches, will be bordering on the German mountains. To follow them, they will have support and difficulties.

The sudden death of the chief man will have changed the political set-up and set another in the rulership.

Soon, though coming late to so high and at a low age, he will have to be feared on land and sea."

Another quatrain of possible significance mentions [QUOTE]:

"Beasts wild with hunger shall cross the rivers. Most of the fighting shall be close by the Hister."

The mention of Hister, the Latin name for the Danube, is considered by many as a reference to Hitler, who sought to control the river because of its geopolitical relevance in Europe.
