It’s New Year’s Day, 2024. Bayside Marketplace is in chaos. Hundreds of people are pouring out of the open-air mall. They’re shoving past each other, scrambling into the street. Sirens are already wailing. Within minutes, more than 60 police cars line Biscayne Boulevard. Lights flashing. Six blocks of traffic shut down.
