In 1924, a group of prospectors claimed to have encountered, shot at, and later been attacked by a group of hulking, ape-like creatures near Mount St. Helens. The creatures laid siege to the cabin the miners stayed in, as the men cowered under a hail of rocks and bestial howls throughout the night, resulting in a legend which endures to this day.
Now, over a century later, STM sets off in search of this seminal encounter story. Filmed on the slopes and in the shadow of Mt. St. Helens, Small Town Monsters investigates the supposed cabin site of the Ape Canyon incident
with researcher Marc Myrsell.
