John Edward Jones was looking for the Birth Canal. And while he was studying to be a doctor, this current search had nothing to do with medical charts or basic anatomy. John was inside a cave whose twisting passages had earned themselves a number of darkly funny names, such as the Scout Eater, the Helmet Eater, and Vein Alley. But John’s focus was the Birth Canal, a famously tight section of the cave where visitors sometimes had to go so far as to exhale in order to squeeze through. Before long, John found a passage whose opening was “no wider than the opening of a washing machine,” and, knowing that the Birth Canal had some bigger sections further down that would allow him to turn around and go back the way he came, John started sliding his body down through the passage. Any hope the man had of exiting into a large cavern disappeared, however, when he slid over a lip of rock and immediately found himself in a nightmare: stuck inside a pitch black passage that was so tight, he couldn’t even move his arms. Even worse, John was trapped upside down. What would follow was a race against time to save the man’s life. Welcome back to The Lore Lodge...
