For as long as humans have shared stories, we have imagined doorways leading somewhere they shouldn’t. Hidden passages connecting distant places. Openings into other dimensions. Gateways that could transport someone through space… or time. Most of these stories can be dismissed as folklore, science fiction, or elaborate hoaxes. But look a little closer, and the idea starts appearing in some strange places. Alleged military experiments.

Accounts from people who claim to have watched something emerge from an opening in the sky. And warnings that we may already be building a doorway without fully understanding what could come through it. Some of the stories you’re about to hear are almost certainly fabricated. Others have grown around real places and genuine research, making it difficult to separate what happened from what was added later.

But they all leave us with the same unsettling question. If a doorway opened into somewhere we knew nothing about… would we really be able to resist looking inside?
